Live Radio app

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Bruce Trade Pty Ltd ("we", "us") publishes the Live Radio app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, CarPlay, Android, Wear OS and Android Auto (the "App"). This policy explains what the App collects, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What the App collects

Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple gives us a stable user identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" option we receive the relay address instead of your real one. We use these only to identify your account and address you in the App.

Listening activity. The App remembers which episodes you have watched or listened to, how far through you got, the shows you follow and episodes you save, so it can pick up where you left off. When you are signed in, this is synced to our servers so it follows you between devices.

Community posts and messages. If you post in the community or message the station or a show's host, the content you write, your display name and the time you sent it are stored on our servers. Posts are shown to other listeners; messages are read by the station team.

Technical information. Requests from the App to our servers and to our media delivery network include your IP address, device type and operating system version. We use these to deliver the stream and to diagnose faults. We do not use them to profile you.

Downloads. Episodes you download are stored only on your device and are removed automatically after 30 days unless you keep them. Nothing about your downloads is sent to us.

2. What the App does not do

The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.

3. Permissions

Local network. The App asks for local-network access so it can find Apple TVs, AirPlay speakers and Chromecast devices on your Wi-Fi. It is used only for that. Notifications. Show reminders are scheduled on your device; you can switch them off in your device settings at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We use hosting and delivery providers to run the service: our API is hosted on Vercel, our database on Neon, and media is stored and delivered through Cloudflare. They process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and may store it outside Australia. We do not share personal information with anyone else except where the law requires it.

5. Keeping and deleting your information

Account information and listening activity are kept while your account is active. You can delete your account from the Account screen in the App, which removes your sign-in and listening history from the device and asks our servers to delete your account and its data. You can also email us at the address below and we will delete it for you.

6. Security

Traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit. Your sign-in is stored in your device's keychain. Station staff sign in with two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us if you think something has gone wrong.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes and contact

We will post any changes to this policy on this page. Questions, access or correction requests, and complaints can be sent to support@brucetrademedia.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
